Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development, Datuk Ewon Benedick, officiated the launch of AMB Connect’s Islamic Equity Crowdfunding Platform today.
The platform aims to provide a faith-compliant and transparent financial solution for Malaysia’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), helping them raise capital and overcome traditional financing challenges.
“Today, we are proud to introduce a solution that addresses these challenges head on. AMB Connect’s Islamic Equity Crowdfunding Platform is designed to provide MSMEs with an inclusive, transparent, and faith-compliant avenue to raise capital.
“This platform is not just a financial tool; it is a bridge to opportunity, enabling entrepreneurs from all walks of life to realize their dreams,” he said in his speech during the launching ceremony here today.
The platform, which adheres to Shariah law, offers ethical and socially responsible investment opportunities, avoiding sectors like alcohol, gambling, or excessive debt. Instead, it focuses on sectors that contribute positively to society, such as technology, healthcare, and sustainable development.
Ewon also outlined the benefits of the platform, stating, “This platform offers MSMEs access to a broader pool of investors, breaking down the barriers that have traditionally limited their growth. It embodies the principles of inclusivity and equality, ensuring every entrepreneur has the opportunity to succeed.”
He emphasised the platform’s transparency, which builds trust between investors and entrepreneurs, and its ability to foster a sense of community and shared purpose.
“We envision a world where every entrepreneur has the opportunity to succeed, where financial barriers are dismantled, and where innovation and creativity are nurtured. AMB Connect’s Islamic Equity Crowdfunding Platform is a step towards that future,” he concluded.
