Despite the short-term global challenges and the rising commodity prices, Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd (F&N) remains resilient and is on course to achieve its long-term goals by consistent execution of its strategies.
The group said although the short-term outlook is bleak, they remain confident on the long-term potential of the market.
F&N has weathered many storms in their 139-year history and the key to their longevity has been the ability to embrace short-term impact for long-term sustainability.
In the long run, the group said it would continue to build its new pillar for halal food after it acquired three food and beverage companies under its flagship brand Sri Nona.
Given that the halal industry is growing at a double-digit rate, F&N stated that the group is eyeing to expand its product range and production capacity as part of its long-term strategy to expand into halal markets.
For a sustainable future, the group will focus on merger and acquisition opportunities, pursuing its ambitions in dairy farming as well as building new capabilities and revenue streams.
The group remains on a strong and stable footing with all business fundamentals still intact despite the global challenges and is also supported by a strong balance sheet.
