Futurise welcomes NTIS initiative to further invigorate PENJANA

Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in a mission to generate an economic revival and recovery effort for Malaysia, announced The National Economic Recovery Plan (PENJANA) on Friday (5 June), a comprehensive stimulus package impacting industries and businesses.

Futurise Sdn Bhd (Futurise) believe that in shaping the future of Malaysia through recovery initiatives where technology, innovation, regulatory and commercial aspects are critical in building global champions in Malaysia, against the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic and Industry 4.0, the call for the establishment of The National Technology and Innovation Sandbox (NTIS) came at an opportune time when they are establishing their new norm due to the unprecedented pandemic.
Futurise Chief Executive Officer Mahadhir Aziz said itโ€™s their DNA that they work with startups and itโ€™s ecosystem within the innovation space.

โ€œWe are excited to be part of the Technology Innovation Sandbox working on a very important vocation, which is the Regulatory part of the initiative, in our effort to contribute in regenerating the Malaysian economy via new inventions and innovation.

โ€œThe National Regulatory Sandbox (NRS) and NTIS are well positioned to encourage more homegrown innovation and solutions to be commercialised through required and applicable regulatory intervention,โ€ he said in a statement.

Mahadhir also added that Futurise is looking forward to working with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and its agencies on the initiative to encourage innovation and new inspiration that can propel not only the digitisation of service delivery but also other aspirations.
