Amongst the topics of discussions between AT&S Malaysia and Ku Abdul Rahman were talent acquisition in the Electrical and Electronic (E&E) industry, university collaboration and the supply of renewable energy.
The Executive Project Officer of AT&S Malaysia, Vittorio Villari welcomes his visit and said, โDatuk Ku Abdul Rahman has provided the necessary support, and advice on industry linkages and university collaboration that are crucial for AT&S to operate in Kedah.โ
As AT&S seeks to reduce carbon footprint, and achieves carbon neutrality by Year 2030, the Technical Project Director of AT&S Malaysia, Markus Sterba adds, โThe availability of higher level of green energy supply, such as solar energy, hydroelectricity and biomass energy, would determine if we can achieve our corporate goal of becoming carbon free. Therefore, we are in constant engagement with NUR and other potential energy providers to explore alternative energy supplies in Kulim Hi-Tech Park that meet our needs.โ
AT&S Malaysia aims to complete the piling works by March 2022 and that would pave way for the construction of super-structure for the production buildings.
