To complement the concerted effort of the Royal Malaysian Police,
to create a Crime-Free community and safer society, a unique program, MM-SOS, was launched on 16 Dec 2016, at Parkroyal Hotel Kuala Lumpur. Membership to MM-SOS.COM.MY programme provides a Member, 24 Hours Total Personal Protection, covering Crime, Motoring and Health. In addition, the member is entitled to Member Privileges, saving up to thousands of Ringgit Malaysia.
The Event opened with an address by the Advisor of MM-SOS, Datuk Muhammad Fuad Talib, former CPO of Trengganu, and current Secretary of Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation. Datuk Fuad, quoting statistics, emphasized that while the overall crime rate in the country has improved in recent years, much more could be done for the benefit of the people. He analogized that since crime is a by-product of society, we as civilians of society should be part of the solution.
The launching of www.mm-sos.com.my was officiated by Datuk Seri Michael Chong, Head of MCA Public Services & Complaints Dept, by putting his signature onto a commemorative plaque. The other distinguished signatories were Datuk Muhammad Fuad Talib, Founder of MM-SOS, Datuk Jack Tan, together with MD of MM Synergy Sdn Bhd, Mr KL Lim, and partners, Dato Charlie Chong and Mr Heng Yeung Fa.
This was followed by a guided tour of the www.mm-sos.com.my website by Business Development Director of MM-SOS, Jon Tan.
To mark the significant occasion, various organizations and personalities were acknowledged for their contribution towards the future success of MM-SOS. They were Sponsors for Member Privileges, RHB Insurance (represented by Ms Venice Char, Branch Manager, Klang), Berjaya Sompo Insurance (represented by Mr Hannti Tan), Pantai Hospital Cheras (represented by Ms Rachel Yew, CEO), Smart Windows (represented by Ms Esther Liew); Dato’ R. Rajendran
(CEO of CSR Malaysia); and Dato’ Alan Foo (MD of Star Planet Sdn Bhd).
In conjunction with the launch of MM-SOS and in line with the commitment of
MM-SOS towards being a social enterprise dedicated to corporate social responsibility, a donation of RM10,000 was presented to Pusat Jagaan Beribuan Kasih (PJBK). The presentation was effected by Mr KL Lim together with Datuk Seri Michael Chong, to Ms Kavitha, Founder, PJBK.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was also inked between Star Planet Sdn Bhd and MM Synergy Sdn Bhd. The MOU was a pledge by Star Planet to extend full support to MM-SOS, as well as to market the program to the Star Planet database. Witnessing the signing was Datuk Seri Michael Chong.
The event ended with a business presentation, which outlined a rewards plan for recommending memberships, registered via www.mm-sos.com.my.
