Streaming platform HBO Max will offer a limited-time promotional discount of 50 per cent on its subscription plans for new users in Malaysia beginning tomorrow.
The promotion, running from March 18 until April 20, 2026, allows eligible subscribers to sign up for the platform’s Standard and Premium plans at half the usual price, giving viewers access to a wide range of international films, series and entertainment content.
Customers may subscribe directly through the official HBO Max website or via participating partners and app stores.
The streaming service aggregates content from several globally recognised entertainment brands, including HBO, the DC Universe, Harry Potter franchises and Cartoon Network, alongside Max Originals and Hollywood blockbusters.
Among the titles available to viewers are award-winning productions and popular series such as The Last of Us, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, and The Pitt. The platform also features Oscar-winning films including One Battle After Another, as well as new comedy content such as Rooster starring Steve Carell.
Fans can also anticipate the third season of House of the Dragon, which is scheduled to premiere in June.
In addition to Western content, Malaysian audiences will be able to stream a selection of Korean dramas and variety shows, including Mad Concrete Dreams starring Krystal Jung, Our Universe featuring Bae In-hyuk and Roh Jeong-eui, and The Village Barber led by Park Bo Gum. The upcoming third season of Yumi’s Cells starring Kim Go-eun is also expected to be available on the platform.
The service also features factual entertainment and reality series such as Gold Rush, Deadliest Catch and The Curious Case Of…, alongside animated titles including The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball, We Bare Bears, Regular Show and Adventure Time.
HBO Max said its platform supports streaming across multiple devices and offers features designed to enhance the viewing experience, including personalised recommendations, curated genre hubs and seamless search tools.
Subscribers may create up to five user profiles within a single account, customise avatars, and download selected titles for offline viewing. Dedicated children’s profiles are also available, complete with parental control features and age-appropriate content selections.
The promotional offer is available to new customers and returning users who currently do not have an active HBO Max subscription, subject to terms and conditions. Bundle plans are excluded from the promotion.
