Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperative (MEDAC), together with its agencies, are committed to assist micro and informal businesses migrate to e-commerce in helping them prepare for the third round of a nationwide Movement Control Order (MCO) 3.0.
Its minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said after having gone through several round of lockdown, entrepreneurs should realise by now going digital is vital to ensure their operations is able to withstand challenges in todayโs post Covid-19 era.
He said those who resist digitalisation would suffer as more and more consumers now prefers to shop online.
Based on a recent survey conducted by MEDAC, 57.74 per cent of consumers prefers to shop online after MCO 2.0, from only 19.24 per cent previously. The consumer survey was conducted from February 24 February to 5 March this year, involving 2,888 respondents.
โIt is important for businesses to repackage their entire products and services so that it can be marketed online. Not only that, they need also to look into ways on how they can enhance their online presence so that customers can easily find them on the internet.

The Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, on Monday, announced the enforcement of the third MCO nationwide, effective May 12 until June 7 to battle the rising case of Covid-19.
