In conjunction with the inaugural SME Digital Summit, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) and Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) was signed to boost digitalisation in businesses.
The MoU was signed by, Director General of MPC, Datuk Abdul Latif Haji Abu Seman and Chief Executive Officer of MDEC, Surina Shukri.
In his statement, Datuk Abdul Latif said, “We are proud to partner with MDEC in this collaboration to catalyse businesses’ digitalisation journey. Certainly, this initiative will boost productivity and economic competitiveness across the tech sectors.”
“On MPC part, we target 1,000 companies to productively gain advantage from the Digital Victory Virtual Business Clinic platform in the next four months. The platform is created to reach and impact up to more than 500,000 businesses in the country,” he said.
The Digital Victory Virtual Business Clinic (DVVBC) is an advisory support to assist businesses in their digitalisation needs and accelerate their journey in taking the digital leap.
The comprehensive platform offers one to one free consultancy with business leader in technology solution, strategic positioning, business operations and financial consultation, among others.
In a joint statement, CEO of MDEC, Surina Shukri said, “This is a right time for Malaysia to operate in a technology-driven ecosystem. Our businesses must make the digital leap to prosper and get themselves ready for the future, especially with the current economic uncertainties.
“Moreover, MDEC recognises that the journey to digitalisation is not an easy task and can’t be accomplished alone.
“Knowing this, we look forward to partnering MPC to guide our local SMEs with an in depth insights, knowledge and experience to digitally empower Malaysian businesses,” she said.
