Arts, Live Festival and Events Association (Persatuan Penggiat Festival Antarabangsa) proudly announced the results of its Annual General Meeting held on 31st July 2024, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). The meeting marked a significant moment in the association’s history as members elected a new leadership for the upcoming two-year term, spanning 2024-2026.
In a pivotal move for the association, Dato’ Alan Foo, Managing Director of Star Planet Sdn Bhd, was elected as the new President. Dato’ Foo, a well-respected figure with over 20 years of experience in international concerts and shows, brings a wealth of experience and a visionary approach to the role. His leadership is anticipated to further the association’s mission to elevate Malaysia’s presence in the international live events arena.
Brian Johnson Lowe, CEO of Livetix Malaysia, was elected as the new Vice President. Lowe’s extensive expertise in live event management and his innovative strategies are expected to complement Dato Foo’s vision and drive the association’s goals forward.

Dato’ Foo expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing President, Rizal Kamal (CEO of LOL Asia) and the retiring board members for their dedicated service and contributions. He also extended his thanks to the Chairman of ALIFE Para Rajagopal of Live Nation Malaysia for his continued support, acknowledging his vital role in the association’s success.
ALIFE reaffirms its pivotal role in supporting industry entrepreneurs and bolstering tourism initiatives, particularly in anticipation of Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
Dato’ Alan also said that ALIFE provides a robust platform for entrepreneurs and industry professionals to collaborate, innovate, and thrive. By facilitating networking opportunities, knowledge sharing, and professional development initiatives, ALIFE empowers entrepreneurs to elevate their businesses and contribute meaningfully to Malaysia’s tourism landscape.
In preparation for Visit Malaysia Year 2026, ALIFE is poised to spearhead initiatives that will highlight Malaysia as a premier destination for international events. Through strategic partnerships and impactful events, the association aims to attract global visitors and showcase Malaysia’s unique cultural heritage, diverse landscapes, and world-class hospitality.
The AGM also provided an opportunity for members to review the association’s achievements over the past term and discuss strategic plans for the future. The incoming council is committed to enhancing Malaysia’s reputation as a premier destination for international live events, fostering collaboration within the industry, and supporting the professional development of its members.
