Strat Aero Malaysia (SAM) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) have inked a deal to initiate collaboration for future research and development in Aerospace Engineering and Agricultural Application by using Augmented Intelligence Technology (AIT).
The collaboration was made official during a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony held at Office of Vice Chancellor, UPM.
The MoU was signed by Vice Chancellor of UPM Professor Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman and Strat Aero Malaysia Chief Executive Officer Datuk Lester Tay Kean Boon. Present to witness the ceremony were Dean of Faculty of Agriculture, UPM Professor Madya Dr. Nur Azura Adam and SAM Chairman Datuk Seri Azharuddin Abdul Rahman.
Professor Dr. Mohd Roslan pointed out, “Food is everyone basic needs. To support national food consumption, implementation of unmanned technology is required to enhance the food production UPM has talent pool to working with SAM to support society needs”

We are proud to be working together with Strat Aero, and we look forward to a fantastic collaboration where we can combine our academic and industrial resources,” he added.
The collaboration will see the breakthrough of the Augmented Intelligence Technologies and its implementation in the conventional industries.
This R&D of the technology will be based in UPM for further collaboration and will be utilized for academic and research purpose.
The MoU is the starting point for a long-term collaboration to apply augmented intelligence solutions to assist more conventional industries using unmanned technologies.
SAM and UPM have also agreed to collaborate on the planning, research, and technology development of unmanned aerial vehicles and other related technologies.
