StorHub to open 8 storage facilities

StorHub Group of Singapore has acquired a major stake in local company Flexi Storage as part of ambitious plans to open up to eight storage facilities in Malaysia over the next two years targeting key cities nationwide.

All Flexi Storage facilities will be rebranded and known as StorHub Self Storage Malaysia and they see rapid urbanisation changing the way consumers and businesses perceive living space or real estate.

For starters, the group is looking at several areas which includes the Klang Valley, Penang and southern Johor for its expansion and hopes to cater to the self storage needs of neighbourhood communities.

Currently, StorHub Group operates 18 facilities in Singapore and has established its presence in 15 cities in Australia, mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Malaysia.

The group also currently operates facilities spanning over 5.1 million sq ft of GFA and more than 70,000 self storage units and they have a presence of 20 years of experience in Singapore and the Asia Pacific region.

StorHub offers self storage spaces ranging from 10 sq ft to over 400 sq ft with storage fees starting from RM95.50 per month and the group aims to become a leading Pan Asian self storage player with the rapid growth of the industry.
