In conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations, Subplace has donated essential groceries and snack Sub Boxes to underprivileged children at Rumah Kasih Harmoni and Hiichiikok Foundation Home so that every child can happily welcome the festive season.
“The pandemic and movement control orders have impacted all walks of life and greatly reduced public donations, which in turn has affected the operations of charities. Our Subplace initiative hopes to send some warmth to disadvantaged groups so that they can happily celebrate this joyful festival,” said Mak Wai Hoong, the Chief Executive Officer of Subplace.
“We believe in sharing happiness with these children during a time that is synonymous with home, family and community. Also, we hope that our corporate social responsibility (CSR) activity can bring positive social value and encourage more people to pay closer attention to underprivileged people,” added Mak.
In the first quarter of 2021, Subplace organised a #SUBportingTogether campaign that offered low-cost subscription boxes of essential groceries to introduce the public to the convenience of subscriptions.
Limited numbers of subscription boxes were made available on the platform for as low as RM1.
The #SUBportingTogether campaign was a success and the positive reception and response by the public resulted in a second campaign in conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya festival, the ‘Jom! Raya Bersubma Subplace’ campaign.
The campaign was held at Quill City Mall, Kuala Lumpur and offered over fifty thousand selected grocery items at just RM1 to members of the public. The campaign was a resounding success and ran for shorter than the anticipated campaign duration after running out of items.
