Amazfit unveils T-Rex Ultra 2 titanium GPS watch for extreme adventures

Amazfit, a global smart wearable brand under Zepp Health (NYSE: ZEPP), today introduced the Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2, the most advanced addition to its rugged T-Rex series, engineered to meet the demands of extreme exploration and endurance activities.

Designed for unpredictable and high-risk environments, the T-Rex Ultra 2 integrates premium materials, advanced navigation technology and extended battery performance to support athletes and outdoor enthusiasts undertaking prolonged and complex routes.

Scott Shepley, Head of Global Marketing at Amazfit, said the new model was developed with a focus on reliability, endurance and navigation efficiency in demanding terrains.

“We built the T-Rex Ultra 2 for individuals who depend on accurate navigation, long-lasting battery life and informed decision-making directly from their wrist. It complements the T-Rex 3 Pro within the lineup by catering specifically to expedition-style adventures,” he said.

The smartwatch features a 1.5-inch AMOLED display protected by scratch-resistant sapphire glass, paired with a Grade 5 titanium bezel and case back for enhanced durability. With 10 ATM water resistance and dual diving certification, the device is suitable for both land-based and underwater activities.

Battery performance remains a key highlight, offering up to 30 days in standard smartwatch mode and more than 50 hours of GPS tracking. The watch also includes 64GB of built-in storage, enabling users to store maps, music and workout data without requiring a smartphone connection.

For the first time in the T-Rex family, full-colour global maps are preloaded via the Zepp app, allowing users to download specific regions directly to the watch. The device supports route creation, nearby point-of-interest searches and automatic rerouting without network access. Powered by six satellite positioning systems, it delivers precise tracking and turn-by-turn navigation.

Additional navigation upgrades include offline route planning of up to 100 kilometres, improved elevation profiles and smarter climb segmentation for better pacing during ascents. Intelligent checkpoint alerts help users track critical milestones such as water stops or altitude targets.

National athlete and military personnel Mohd Saddam bin Mohd Pittli described the watch as dependable under unpredictable conditions, citing its titanium construction, accurate GPS and long battery life as key strengths.

The T-Rex Ultra 2 is priced at RM2,399 and is available via Amazfit’s official website and selected online platforms including Shopee, Lazada and TikTok. A promotional price of RM2,299 is offered from Feb 20 to 23, along with complimentary gifts and a one-year extended warranty, while stocks last.
