Laos Honoured for Outstanding Heritage Tourism at the 2024 Top Asia Corporate Ball

The 2024 Top Asia Corporate Ball, hosted by Top 10 of Asia magazine, brought together distinguished esteemed guests from across Asia at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Sites such as the UNESCO-listed town of Luang Prabang and the ancient Plain of Jars stand as testaments to the country’s historical significance and cultural legacy. Laos has also prioritised sustainable tourism practices, ensuring that its heritage sites are preserved for future generations while providing meaningful experiences for visitors. This recognition, presented to His Excellency Thepthavone Sengmany, Laos’ Ambassador to Malaysia, celebrates the nation’s commitment to sharing its unique cultural identity with the world and its growing appeal as a premier destination for heritage tourism.

The award was conferred upon Laos after a rigorous process of research and surveys conducted by Top 10 of Asia magazine. Insights were gathered from travellers, cultural enthusiasts and industry experts across the region, ensuring that the recognition accurately reflects the country’s exceptional contributions to heritage tourism. Federal Express Services Malaysia (FedEx), Watson’s Personal Care Stores, Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad and YTL Corporation stood out for their commitment to sustainability and positive social impact. Additionally, other notable recipients included RF3 World Sdn Bhd, Corus KLCC, Mr. Tuk Tuk and Biovisma Sdn Bhd, further showcasing a diverse array of excellence across sectors.

Beyond the awards, the evening featured stellar entertainment that kept the energy vibrant. International and local performers, including Janella Salvador from the Philippines, Korea’s Han Byul Jung, Malaysia’s Dasha Logan, Suki Low and Dr. Soo Wincci, enthralled the audience with mesmerizing musical performances.
